Starting off as a film known as Happy Campers,no not the early 2000's film. But mid way through  production they paid for the  Meatballs rights,which pissed the director off. He hate sequels.

But really this ain't a sequel. Just another film set at a summer camp. This time it is a ski camp. On a lake where there is two camps. One ran by the late great Jack Nance,and the other ran by Sarah Douglas. Jack's camp is losing customers so he rehires the best skier ever Ricky Wade (Corey Haim) who even though he is the same  age or maybe a year older than the campers calls them kids often.

The camp ran by Sarah Douglas starts pulling stunts to get the other camps campers to leave. Leading up to a contest winner gets both camps. 

It's your standard 80s camp comedy. Just happening in the  early 90s and almost  all the female cast if former Playmates of the month. And  really it is one I happened to see so many  times. When it hit cable SHowtime had the rights  and aired it  at least once a week. 

This Blu Ray looks  and sounds  great. Way better than it looked when I saw it on Showtime. And better than the DVD rip  I have had for years. 

Extras there isn't many. Get trailers for 3 other films  MVD is releasing/has released. Trailer  for Meatballs 4.Then  a 55 minute interview with the director. Which is loaded with info. The director also did Repossessed and a few other cult classics.

Meatballs 4 isn't some amazing comedy. But if you want a throwback  to 80s style comedy it is perfect. And this release is a great  way to watch it.

I was the perfect age when the late 70s/early 80s video game boom happened. Just old enough to play and enjoy all the arcade classics. But still young enough that I had to ask for quarters.

Had to be early 2004 when I learned about Joysticks, a T&A comedy from the early 80s. Set at an arcade it is your normal old white dude wants to shut down "INSERT POPULAR TEEN HANGOUT". And the teens team up to stop him.

The cast is pretty much b level stars. Joe Don Baker is the lead villain. Got Jon Gries,from Napoleon Dynamite,as Vidiot. A video game addicted new wave looking dude. Corinne Boher as the love interest and daughter of Joe Don, yall might remember her from Revenge of the Nerds IV or High Spirit(TV SHOW). The from Newhart you got Daryl as one of Joe Don's henchmen.

Nerdy dude gets hired on at the arcade. Learns the manager won't play video games cause of an incident in his past. Joe Don wants the arcade shut down. And his valley girl daughter Corinne is dating the manager. Jon Gries as Vidiot has a gaggle of women that follow him around and act like the ghosts from Pac Man.

You watch this movie for 2 reasons. One is to see al the classic arcade machines. And it isn't just the well known stuff,there is a great scene with Satan's Hollow which has OVERSIZED Joysticks. The other reason is of course the nudity. And the film is packed with bare boobs.

No real extras on this release. It is a film I doubted would get past VHS.

If you have already seen and loved all those early 80s T&A comedies like Porkys and Revenge of the Nerds track down Joysticks.

31 Days of Horror Day 10 Piranha DD

Yeah a few years ago I did a short review of this when I covered all 5 movies in the official Piranha franchise. Since then I have watched Piranha DD at least 3 more times.

The movie is stupid as fuck.Danielle Panabaker,yep all the talent left her after Sky High it seems,and this bald comedian fucker I know but can't remember his name are co owners in a big water amusement park. The bald fuck adds an adult only area,fills it with hookers and strippers and it looks like the park will be a huge hit and manage to stay open.

But then piranhas from 3D show up and people start to die. Yeah we never get a resolution to the ending of the film before this. All we learn is the town around the lake is a ghost town now.

While the original was filled with fart humor and abundant topless women,this one triples the amounts.The gore isn't as good. But the part with the piranha being stuck in a woman's vagina and biting off this guy's dick was fairly well done.

Ving Rhames comes back for a small role. Yep he survived the previous film.The dorky guy from the League and the previous film is back as Ving's care giver.

This bombed. I think it might have played 200 theaters. The dvd isn't in 3D.I have never seen a home video 3D release of this film. But yeah was barely worth the 4 bucks I got it for.
