June Comic Haul

Yea I know I ,outside of October, rarely write stuff here. Between mail order,a great local comic shop and Books A Million having a big sale I got a good comic haul in 4 days so far of this month,

Ok starting first with the floppies I found at Books a Million. Got a Avengelyne one shot from Liefeld's Maximum Press, then issues 2 and 4 of Trouble. The Epic imprint published attempted at not only reviving the Romance comic genre but also giving a kinda disturbing origin to Peter Parker....

Found the Aerosmith issue of Rock N Roll Comics. A Stephen Platt issue of Prophet. And the final issue of the second volume of Razor. I'm trying to collect a full reading set of the London Night Studio Razor and adjacent series.

The Dark Tower Hardcover was brand new and like 6 bucks after the discount. Starchild was marked as Used and Clearance so was barely over a buck. Manifest Destiny is volume one and was another Used and Clearance marked books which dropped the price to a bit under 3 bucks. Miracleman vol 1,Marvel Hardcover,is brand new and was 6 or 7 bucks.

Suicide Squad was 4 bucks. Dakota North, never thought I would see a trade of this forgotten 80s character, was 3 or 4 bucks. And Harbinger is a first print it appears still sealed in the polybag for 2 bucks.

At the comic shop,Comic Commander, the owner had recently put out two longboxs packed with cheap kids comics. I quickly dug through one. Grabbed a bit over 20 comics. Got these 5 cartoon adapation comics that Charlton printed. I rarely see any Charltons outside of pricey wall books.
Got five comics with Hot Stuff that are all early to mid 70s era. But ya know if you find Hot Stuff in a longbox odds are good you are gonna find some.....

Ten issues of 9 different 70s era Richie Rich comics from Harvey. From when I was about 4 until I was 8,so late 70s till about 83ish,while I read pretty much any comic I got my hands on my favorites were Richie Rich and Hot Stuff from Harvey. So now when I find any issues of either series cheap I grab them.

Plus what longbox of slightly beat up kids comic is complete without some Whitman/Gold Key stuff. There was piles of this stuff in there. So I grabbed  a Disney comic that reprints the first appearance of Magica De Spell. A Funky Phantom issue!!! Then 2 originals from Gold Key. Baby Snoots with Uptite Mouse. And Wacky Adventures of Cracky!!
Then to complete the 70s,even though these are way more modern, kids comic line up,found 3 Archie Digests. The Riverdale one appears to mostly reprint stuff from a few years ago when Archie revamped all their long running titles and gave each series it's own look. The other two are your standard digest that is a mixture of reprints and maybe new stories.
To end the nice stack of kids comics found 1 each from the big 2. From Marvel got an issue of their short lived comic based on the short lived cartoon Pirates of Dark Water. From DC an issue of their always great Justice League Adventures comic.

Then to wrap it all up my small order from an online back issue dealer. The Razor is an annual I didn't have. Nightveil mostly reprints old pre-code horror stuff in b/w. Quantum Quartet was the last issue I needed of that Married with Children mini series. Finally Dungeoneers #4 is the final issue of that series. I had grabbed issues 1 thru 3 at the comic shop last year and enjoyed them. So ordered issue 4,paying almost 4 times what i paid for each previous issue.
