10 buck Dollar Tree Challenge 001
Years ago I saw a few of the blogs I read do this. You take 10 bucks then hit your local everythings a buck store. And try to find the 10 best/most interesting items you can for that 10 bucks. So the other day while waiting on some I decided to try out this challenge. Now being in a tiny southern town the only store we have that fits is the chain Dollar Tree.
Dollar Tree $10 Challenge Rules.
1.You must get 10 items at least.
2.Tax doesn't count towards the $10.
3.No more than one of the same item. IE if you happen upon a box of movies on DVD,you can only get one.
Ok there's the rules Lets get starts.
Item 01-Living Dead Zombies Finger Puppet
By the time I got home the blister had come loose from the backing card. This is a much bigger finger puppet than normal. I can actually fit two of my large fingers inside it. The paint job is decent. And the backing card looks good. So not bad for a buck.
Item 02-TMNT Michealangelo key chain figure
Months back I was given a Donatello figure keychain. So I was pretty happy when I found this Michealangelo keychain. Like Don it is well painted and the paint doesn't rub off easy. For a buck these are great. I wish I could find Raph and Leo.
Item 03-Pack of Panini Avengers stickers
When I was young Panini put out lots of great sticker book series. While I like that Dollar Tree carries trading cards and sticker series. I hate how my local DT has that section so messed up. This was the only pack of Avengers stickers I found. So lets open this pack up.
Got 7 stickers. The one with Black Widow on the top row has a kind of metallic shine to it. They are all pretty decent.
Item 04-Avengers Boo Boo Buddy
One of those non-ice icepacks. But it has Cap,Iron Man and Hulk on it.
Item 05-Jurassic World Linticular bookmark
As you tilt it the Dino comes towards you. I am always needing bookmarks and this one stands out.
Item 06-Tom and Jerry Magic Paint posters
I remember a similar product from when I was a kid. You wet a q-tip and then the colors appear as the page got wet. This instead has the colors at the bottom of each page. So you get to choose what color you want stuff to be.
Item 07-Thor Air Glider
This is actually a pretty neat toy. I remember finding various airplanes made like this when I was younger. The best part is it flies fairly well.
Item 08-Captain America Coloring book
This coloring book actually has a story. And each page is pretty much like a panel in a comic book.
Item 09-Glow in the dark Dinosaur skeleton models
I use to get balsa wood models like this all the time. For a buck this is a damn good deal. Not only do you get two dinosaur models to put together. They also glow in the dark..
Item 10-Iron Man trading cards
Kind of ending this on a crappy item. While looking for more packs of the Panini Avengers stickers found this pack of Iron Man 3 trading cards. Five cards, none of which are worth a shit.
So for me 7 of the 10 items are pretty good. Hard to decide which is the best between the TMNT keychain, the Cap coloring book or the glow in the dark dino models. But next time you have some extra cash try out this challenge.
